Gill Saunders is Senior Curator (Prints) in the Word & Image department at the Victoria & Albert Museum and is immersed in current printmaking practice and responsible for new acquisitions to the collection. Gill will discuss recent developments in printmaking with Nana Shiomi and will talk about her book, ‘Prints Now’.
‘Printmaking has changed radically in the past two decades: the fine art print now encompasses everything from billboards and badges to clothes, cakes and carrier bags. In a series of case studies dealing with individual artists, new media and techniques, ‘Prints Now’ explores these new directions and expanded definitions.’
